Giving Back

Giving back is important to us.
Because of the many ways in which we have been blessed throughout the years,
Other Mothers likes to give back by offering support
to a variety of local churches, organizations,  and communities.
Our monthly 25 CENT SALE is a big part of that.  With our personal experience with Children's Miracle Network,
we found it easy to make CMN a major focus for Other Mothers.  Overly Loved items that we can not accept from you for resale
can be picked up by you to take home or we suggest that you donated  them to our 25 CENT SALE.
4 days a month, generally the second and last weekends of the month, (Please call ahead to check on dates for they may change.)
all these items are put out and are sold for 25 CENTS each.
All the proceeds from these sales are donated to Children's Miracle Network at St. Josephs Hospital in Marshfield.
Everything stays local.  It's amazing how these quarters add up and help local families.
All items not sold in the 25 CENT SALE are picked up from great volunteers from the Orphan Grain Train,
sorted and boxed and sent all over the world.
Other Mothers also supports local charities like
PABA's Presents from the Heart, First Choice, Coats for Kids,
Hope Center, First Choice and Project Fresh Start.

PABA Honors Other Mothers

PABA Executive Director Ken McKenzie recently presented a Certificate of Recognition award to Laureen Rusin, owner of Other Mothers,

in honor of the exceptional collection of donated gifts, cash and non-perishable food items claimed from the collective efforts during the pre-holiday Christmas Presents from the Heart Campaign.

Other Mothers staff teamed with her spouse, (Randy Rusin Photography) during a Santa Claus children's photo session, in requesting (as was possible non-perishable food items be donated

to be shared in the 29th annual PABA-sponsored Christmas Presents from the Heart program. The collection also was robust in clothing donations.

Thanks for lightening hearts and brightening Christmas for others!
